RARE SET 4 SILVER EGG SHAPED NOVELTY BOXES LONDON 1980/2/5
A wonderful and whimsical Set of Four Solid Silver Novelty Boxes in the shape of eggs nestled in their egg cups. Two are Shiny Solid Silver and two have been oxidized to a lovely coppery colour over Solid Silver. The eggs have enamel tops created to look like real eggs. When you remove the fitted 'Egg' lids the inside of each Egg Cup reveals lovely little designs - two show a gilded carousel with a horse, rabbit and rooster. One has a Gilded Basket with a pile of silver Easter Eggs and one has a gilded maypole with three children dancing around it.
Made in London.
