A good example of a Traditional Wager Cup / Marriage Cup / Loving Cup in Solid Silver. The Cup follows the traditional German Design originated in the 17th Century in the shape of a woman in a wide skirt holding a swinging cup above her head. This Wager Cup has a gorgeous chased design on both the swinging cup and the wide 'skirt'. Traditionally used at Weddings, this gorgeous cup is part of a rich historical tradition.
This Cup is in very good condition and has German Marks and English Import Hallmarks.
