A gorgeous Solid Silver Box with a simple, elegant oval form. The only embellishment is a a classic rope border on the lid and base. The hinged lid is slightly domed. The inside of the lid has some initials (J.J.G) engraved.
I had someone contact me re initials. The company JJ Gallagher where cigarette makers. They gave away silver items as promotional gifts to favoured customers at Christmas each year.
Made in Birmingham.
